What got you into radio?
I originally wanted to be a High School counselor. I got a D in psychology (hope my kids don't read this) so I decided to try something else! While in college I found myself on the speech and debate team. I discovered I liked working with my voice. I've always loved music. Hummm...what could I do with voice and music? DJ! I changed my major and here I am.
What's the last thing you spent $100 on?
A CPR class. I finally got certified, wish I would have done it a long time ago.
Tell us a random fact about yourself.
I was a Mexican Ballet Folklorico dancer for 20 years. I almost ran off to dance with one of the best groups in Mexico. It was my senior year of college and I decided to finish up my degree instead. Now my son and daughter dance. Get this...their instructor was a dancer in the group I wanted to run off with!!!! He now lives in the Bay Area and has his school here. Talk about a small world!
Can you do a cartwheel?
Yes I can, the splits too! For now anyway, ask me again next year.
Favorite sentimental quote.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift...that's why it's called the present.
Secret guaranteed weeping movie.
I'm a huge Barbara Streisand fan. I've got to go with Funny Girl and The Way We Were.
What do you consider a vacation?
Staying in bed all day on a Sunday with the newspaper, my favorite books and videos. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served on a tray with a rose and champagne. Disneyland ALWAYS works too!
Where were you born?
Castro Valley, CA
What do you cook best?
Mexican food. All of my dear mom's recipes.
If you haven't seen it yet, there's a great wedding video on YouTube where the priest stops the ceremony right before the vows to complain about the photographers behind him. What would you do if this happened to you? The bride handled it like a pro!
It seems as if every other day we hear about a dog that is rescuing a family member. This dog was looking out for the families newest addition. Perhaps we should start a pet/baby sitting service!
It looks like Jon Gosselin has had just about enough of the paparazza following his every move. He was followed by a female photographer and wanted to send a clear message that he would not tolerate trespassing! "I am licensed to carry a concealed handgun, which I withdrew and used to fire a warning shot AWAY from the paparazza," Gosselin told TMZ.

Better late than never. Mark Wahlberg is finally a H.S. graduate after dropping out in the 9th grade. Mark said, "It shouldn't take luck for people to be able to access the education they need to help overcome life's obstacles," he added, "I can now look at my kids every day knowing that I didn't just do this for me - - I did it for them, and I did it for all the other teens and adults who have inspired me by their commitment to graduate."
The world is buzzing about Clint Eastwood's model son, Scott. He has been hiding out, but now he is on the scene and is bringing a lot of smiles (and some drool) to people's faces today...lol.
