Lenny Kravitz won't be playing MARVIN GAYE on the big screen. Lenny has dropped out of the lead role in Sexual Healing and will be replaced by ex-Law and Order star Jesse L. Martin. The film is set to cover Gaye's last few years, when he was in Europe in the early 1980s trying to get his personal life under control and re-start his music career. When Kravitz was first announced as the film's star in November, Gaye's son Marvin Gaye the Third asked Kravitz--a childhood friend--to drop out and threatened legal action against producers because it focused on a “low period” in his father’s life.
