Robin Roberts will slowly ease back into her co-host's role on ABC’s Good Morning
Recovering from a September bone marrow transplant, Roberts told viewers this morning (Monday) about her return, "It's a matter of weeks, not months... I'm coming home." She's received her doctors' thumbs-up since her last bone marrow aspiration test showed no abnormalities.
But ROBIN's return will be gradual. Next week, her trial run includes waking up at 4 a.m., traveling to ABC's New York studio to do "hair and makeup... Well, makeup." Acknowledging the effects of chemotherapy, she joked, "We'll talk about the hair later." She'll also monitor her stress level and effect of studio lights on her now-tender skin before resuming work full-time.
