LIVE! NUDE! WOMEN!
How's that for a headline?! And you wouldn't expect that from me. But, I have received quite a bit of response about the link, so I'll post it here for a while.

Jane magazine has offered this feature on breast health and acceptance. Acceptance of what? Well acceptance of what normal, non-airbrushed women look like. The amazing thing is, many women volunteered to take pictures.

Not recommended for office viewing. They are nude, you were warned.Oh, and no, there is not a chance in h**l I will be partcipating

Guess who's not coming to dinner

BY ROGER EBERT / September 28, 2008

I do not like you, John McCain. My feeling has nothing to do with issues. It has to do with common courtesy. During the debate, you refused to look Barack Obama in the eye. Indeed, you refused to look at him at all. Even when the two of you shook hands at the start, you used your eyes only to locate his hand, and then gazed past him as you shook it.

Obama is my guy. If you are rude to him, you are rude to me. If you came to dinner at my house and refused to look at or speak with one of my guests, that would be bad manners and I would be offended. Same thing if I went to your house. During the debate, you were America's guest.

Morning/Evening Reflection

Sunn is a "MySpace Friend" of mine.  (I still think its funny that we have a different categories for friends) For all the conversations(and mild arguments...ummm... disagreements) we have had, if we were sitting in the same coffeee house right next to each other we probably wouldn't recognize one another!!!  lol     He just posted this on his YouTube channel, and it's so peaceful and reflective that I thought I should share.  We could all use a bit of peace about now.

That's it! If Sarah Palin can do it so can I! But I'm going for the Top Job!

Okay, this could kinda work.  I do appreciate the story of how she named the business...

-- Smashing Katie is a startup born from a breakup.

An online store geared to women who have recently gone through a divorce or breakup, Smashing Katie sells items ranging from a wedding ring coffin to the Ex, a kitchen knife block shaped like a person.

Owner Angie Schmidt got the idea from her own divorce - and named the store after the neighbor she believed was the other woman behind the collapse of her marriage.

"I was this blubbering mess of goo and tears," said Schmidt, 33, of South San Francisco. "By day five, I needed something to laugh at. I created a T-shirt saying 'Ask Katie where my husband is.' I would look in the mirror and just start chuckling. ... Those five days were the beginning of Smashing Katie." (more)

Five Things Happy People Do
By Gabrielle LeBlanc

Sages going back to Socrates have offered advice on how to be happy, but only now are scientists beginning to address this question with systematic, controlled research. Although many of the new studies reaffirm time-honored wisdom ("Do what you love," "To thine own self be true"), they also add a number of fresh twists and insights. We canvassed the leading experts on what happy people have in common—and why it's worth trying to become one of them:

They find their most golden self. Picture happiness. What do you see? A peaceful soul sitting in a field of daisies appreciating the moment? That kind of passive, pleasure-oriented—hedonic—contentment is definitely a component of overall happiness. But researchers now believe that eudaimonic well-being may be more important. Cobbled from the Greek eu ("good") and daimon ("spirit" or "deity"), eudaimonia means striving toward excellence based on one's unique talents and potential—Aristotle considered it to be the noblest goal in life. In his time, the Greeks believed that each child was blessed at birth with a personal daimon embodying the highest possible expression of his or her nature. One way they envisioned the daimon was as a golden figurine that would be revealed by cracking away an outer layer of cheap pottery (the person's baser exterior). The effort to know and realize one's most golden self—"personal growth," in today's lingo—is now the central concept of eudaimonia, which has also come to include continually taking on new challenges and fulfilling one's sense of purpose in life.
