Cyndi Lauper is the latest rock and roll celebrity to take the plunge into reality TV.
WE TV has announced that Cyndi Lauper: Still So Unusual will premiere on January 12th. The network is promising "an all-access pass into the personal and professional life of the singer and activist" -- as she juggles her many roles, including rock star, mother, wife, Broadway composer, New York Times best-selling author and philanthropist.
We'll get a look at Cyndi's family life. Married for 20 years to actor David Thornton,
she has a 14-year old hockey-playing son, Declyn. The series will also touch on:
- Cyndi's creating the Broadway musical Kinky Boots with Harvey Fierstein.
- Her performance on NBC’s talent series The Voice.
- Her struggles to make a deadline on her autobiography.
- The time she dropped a four-letter word on live TV while serving as Grand Marshall of the Pegasus Parade at the Kentucky Derby.
