During the summer, while Lindsay Lohan was filming the movie “Liz & Dick,” she was involved in a car accident under suspicious circumstances. Her purse was reportedly filled with prescription pills and they were scattered about the trunk. Lohan’s car slammed into the back of an 18-wheel truck, but she claimed to the cops that she was not the one driving.

Now, TMZ reports that Lohan will be charged with lying to police officers. The Santa Monica City Attorney will file, perhaps later this week, the misdemeanor charges. She’s already under probation for the theft of jewelry from a store. It is possible that these new criminal charges require the judge to throw Lohan into prison for probation violation. Her scheduled interview with Barbara Walters (November 16th) may have to be behind bars
in an orange prison jumpsuit.
