Radio Career:

I started out my radio career as an intern for KSFM 102.5 back in April, 1996then became the Co-Host (along with my future husband) of "The Cruzin Show" on Sundays
Became a part time On Air Personality at KWIN 97.7/98.3 in Stockton in March,1999
Soon, I became Morning Show Co-Host @ Power 105.5 here in Sacramento in November, 2000
The opportunity opened up for me to take over the Mid-Day shift @ KBMB 103.5 The Bomb in May, 2001 & held down the Mid-Days until I moved on to Morning Show Co-Host @ KSFM 102.5 in January, 2004.
I took a break from radio for about 1 year until I landed here along with Lee Perkins to Co-Host "The Morning Groove Crew" in October, 2005!!!!!

3 Years and Counting!!!!
Friday 10-10-2008 10:33am PT
First off let me say that I am very greatful to be able to come in every morning and do something that I love with people that I love. My career is like my child, I've watched it grow into something that I can truely be proud of. Don't get me wrong, there have been plenty of times when I wanted to give up and get a "regular" job like my mom and dad begged me to do alot! But I always felt like there was something more for me in radio so I stuck with it for 10 years. And it has paid off big time. Never in my life could I have imagined have a job like this and getting to work with a great and wonderful co-host like Lee Perkins. He is a master at his craft and I can only hope to be as good as him someday. I will forever be his student. There have been trials and tribulations, but we have always come thru and have each others back. I can honestly say that Lee is my family and will always be treated as such! One more thing is you....that's right you! Thank you for welcoming me with open arms three years ago. And while you may not have agreed with everything I said or appreciated my honesty, just know everything I say is true and from my heart.....I will never give you anything less.

THANK YOU FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS!

Disneyland Again!!

So yes....we're giving away Park Hopper Passes to Disneyland again tomorrow. Everyone looks so forward to these passes...they're probably the most popular thing that we give away. EVERYONE wants to go to Disneyland!

The most thrilling thing for me when I go to Disneyland isn't the rides. It's when you walk thru the front gates, under the tunnel and onto Main Street, USA. It's kind of like "Wow, I'm here!" You can just feel the excitement and you want to be a part of it. The first thing I hit up after that is New Orleans Square. I especially love it when it's all dressed up for Christmas....it's beautiful! If you ever get the chance you have to see it!

Holy Moly!! More Disneyland Park Hopper Passes!

WOW!! I thought we were done giving away tickets....but I was SO wrong! OK, here's another story.....

Lee, Devin Kyle and myself did a broadcast from "Disneyland" for the launch of the "Finding Nemo Submarines". The night before the broadcast, Disney threw a huge party for all of us who were broadcasting with free everything...food, drinks, prizes...everything!! Anyway, we were all standing around this table enjoying the food, which included shrimp with dipping sauce, when Devin said "I'm getting some more of this shrimp, it's great!" So he gets a HUGE plate of shrimp but when he gets back to the table, he realizes he forgot something and goes back to get it. I look at everyone around the table and say "Ok, everyone let me have your empty shrimp tails." We made a huge pile of shrimp tails and smeared some cocktail sauce on the plate and hid his new plate of shrimp. When he came back he saw his "eaten" plate of shrimp and he looked crushed! He kept saying "That's messed up, that's messed up!" We pulled his plate out and of course he was laughing hysterically. To tell the truth it's kind of easy to pull one over on Devin. Don't worry he got me back, he made me drink a lot of beer knowing we had to get up at 3:30 the next morning!
Happy Anniversary to US!!!

It's our Anniversary!!! I can't believe Lee and I have been radio husband and wife for 3 whole years!! It's been a whirlwind but I have to say that if it wasn't for the wonderful listeners there would be no "Lee and Andrea Morning Show"! I was going to tell you a funny story about Lee and I but I think I'm going to save it for the air tomorrow morning! I hope your listening all week long for all of our anniversary surprises because there will be alot!!!

Well this morning was very interesting. Joey Garcia our love expert was in our studio and we were talking about whether or not it's ok for someone who's in a commited relationship to go to the strip club. I said it didn't bother me in the least if my significant other went because I should be secure enough in the relationship that it wouldn't bother me. Joey was saying that you should focus on the relationship and not be at the strip club. Now, if it's all the time, I get that. But if it's every once in a while and there's is honesty about where you're at I don't see the problem. But, to each his/her own, and I'd like to hear your opinion either by email or on the phone tomorrow morning.
