Curtiss Maldoon
Curtiss Maldoon
In one of those situations certain to cause confusion among collectors for generations to come, Maldoon -- although they issued one self-titled album -- was actually the same as Curtiss Maldoon, the British singer/songwriter duo that did a self-titled album, Curtiss Maldoon, in 1971. Maldoon was named after Clive Maldoon, one-half of this duo (Clive Maldoon also sometimes played under the name of Clive Skinner, but let's leave that out of the picture for now). Clive Maldoon had formed Curtiss Maldoon with Dave Curtiss, and although the pair recorded the Maldoon album billed to Maldoon together, Curtiss was unhappy with the result, and asked that his name be taken off the record.
